The Clippers are coming into this game down 3-2 in the series and this is now a game they have to win to keep this series going. They are coming off of an awful loss at home by 30 points in their last game and they are going to be hungry to bounce back here since they did win the game prior in Dallas and had a 30 point lead themselves at one point in that game. The Mavericks are coming off of that blowout win but that is going to be hard to replicate here with the Clippers bringing everything they have for this elimination game. The Mavericks have blown the Clippers out in 2 games of this series, but the other 3 games were not like that as the Clippers won 2 and the Mavericks won the other by just 3 points. Both Harden and George were awful in the last game as neither scored over 15 points in that game but they are both going to be hungry to play better here since this is their best chance at winning a championship, something neither player has done yet. The Clippers have also played better without Kawhi Leonard as they lost both of the games in this series that he played in but won 2 games that he did not play in. The loss in their last game was the only game in this series that the Clippers lost without Kawhi and they are going to respond to that blowout loss here. The Mavericks were not a team that they struggled with during the regular season as the Clippers were actually 2-1 against the Mavericks, winning 1 of the 2 games in Dallas as well, and the Clippers have also been better at home this season than they have been at home as they are 26-15 on the road. The Clippers are going to fight hard here on the brink of elimination to ensure they keep this game close all night with a chance to win if they are not leading in it and even if they lose this game, they will keep it much closer in this last stand to stay alive in this series. The Clippers will cover the spread in this game.
