The Warriors are coming into this game with a 28-27 record this season and they have been playing much better in their recent games. They have won 3 of their last 4 games with all 4 of those games being on the road and they have been dominant in those wins with all 3 coming by 7+ points. They are currently sitting in 10th place in the Western Conference which is the last spot for the play-in games, but they are only a few games out of a playoff spot in 6th place so they are going to come out of the break strong as they try to make that playoff push. They made some moves to improve the team as well by bringing in Jimmy Butler, and it has paid off so far as they are 3-1 with Butler in the lineup. They are going up against a Kings team that is also 28-27 this season and currently sitting in 9th place in the Western Conference. They have been playing much better in their recent games as they have also won 3 of their last 4 games, but they have also had a much weaker schedule in that span so their good performance recently has been misleading. They have played the Pelicans 3 times in their last 4 games, winning 2 of those and losing 1, while their other win in that span came in OT by 1 point against the Mavericks who have struggled since trading Luka Doncic away. The Kings also traded away a key player in De'Aaron Fox and brought in Zach LaVine, but the Kings are only 3-3 with Lavine in the lineup, 2 of those wins coming against the Pelicans and 1 coming against the Mavs. Their losses were not that great either as they lost to the Pelicans and the Trail Blazers, 2 of the worst teams in the Western Conference. The Warriors have been playing much better since picking up Jimmy Butler so they are going to be very focused on surging up the standings coming out of the break, and they have also lost both games against the Kings this season so this is a double revenge spot for them with both lineups being different than they were in the first 2 meetings.
